Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MeetMe (the "Service"), provided by Advena ("we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

About the Service

MeetMe shows the approximate location of nearby users on a live map so people can meet up at real places. The Service comprises the MeetMe iOS app, the MeetMe Android app, the MeetMe web app, and the backend that supports them.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MeetMe. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity in your jurisdiction to enter into these Terms. Some jurisdictions require a higher minimum age for services like MeetMe; if local law requires you to be older, that local law applies to you.

Account

You sign in to MeetMe with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use, and for all activity that occurs under your MeetMe account. If you believe your account has been used without your authorisation, contact us immediately.

One person, one account. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is a violation of these Terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of the profile content you create (display name, age, gender, looking-for, bio, interests, venue tag). By submitting that content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and display it within the Service to other users, solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish. Don't publish anything you don't have the right to publish.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, dox, stalk, or impersonate any other person, including other MeetMe users;
• post sexually explicit, violent, hateful, deceptive, or illegal content;
• use the Service to solicit minors, exchange illegal goods or services, or commit fraud;
• use the Service for commercial solicitation, spam, or promotional broadcasts;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise access the Service except through the official iOS, Android, and web clients we provide;
• interfere with the Service's integrity, e.g. by spoofing your location, abusing rate limits, or attacking our infrastructure.

Real-world meetups

MeetMe helps you discover people nearby, but every interaction you have with another user — including any meetup in the real world — is between you and that other user. We do not verify users' identities, backgrounds, or intentions. Use the same caution you would when meeting any stranger: choose a public place, tell a friend, and trust your instincts.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what personal data we collect and how we handle it. You should read it carefully before using MeetMe.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, posted content that violates applicable law, or harmed other users or the integrity of the Service. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@advena.io.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maps, distance estimates, venue tags, and user-supplied profile content may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Advena be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including (without limitation) damages for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim and (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms over time. When the changes are material we will notify active users in-app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Belgrade, Serbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
